How do we re-imagine our landscapes where people are the priority? By highlighting the outdated practice of enforcing parking minimums, a policy dating back to the 1950s! By requiring excessive parking spaces, cities have inadvertently promoted sprawling developments, increased housing costs, and created environments that prioritize cars over people.

Highlighting the need for parking reform, our webinar will feature a distinguished panel including Minnesota State Senator Omar Fateh, U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar (MN-05), and Tony Jordan, President of the Parking Reform Network. Together, we'll delve into the tangible benefits of eliminating parking minimums, as evidenced by cities like Minneapolis, where the abolition of these mandates has led to a decrease in vehicle miles traveled even as the population has continued to grow.
